Project Management - PRINCE2™ OverviewClick here to print the course details

Duration

This is a one day course with no examination.

Overview

The course is designed to provide you with an introduction to the PRINCE2™ structured project management method. No previous experience or training will be required or assumed, and the course will introduce you to the concepts within PRINCE2™ and to the PRINCE2™ process model. You will be provided with an Overview Delegate Manual at the start of the day. There will be some exercises designed to reinforce the training you will receive.

Who Will Benefit?

If you are new to projects or need a brief introduction to the principles of PRINCE2™ this is the course for you. The day will acquaint you with the PRINCE2™ project management method. This may be the limit of PRINCE2™ training you will need in order to carry out any project responsibilities if you are, say, part of the Project Support Office. Alternatively it may be the pre-cursor to further training, especially where you are new to project work and wish to progress to a more detailed understanding of PRINCE2™. Amberwing provides this course as part of its public schedule or, alternatively, you may wish to have it presented on an in-house client basis where a number of company employees may receive this training at the same time.

Course Style

Since the course will not lead to an examination, it will be delivered in a more relaxed atmosphere and, when delivered in-house, may be customised to a client's particular needs. At the end of the course you will understand the essential aspects of PRINCE2™ along with the key concepts of how it is used to manage projects.

The course will blend formal presentation with practical exercises.

Amberwing's trainers will bring their own experiences to bear in order to illustrate the application of PRINCE2™ and to put it into context.

The practical exercises will enable you to benefit from the views of other delegates.

Time will be provided for discussion and clarification of anything you find difficult.

The course will begin at 09.00 and conclude at 17.30 hours. There will be refreshment breaks and a lunch break.
